January '11 Animal House Shelter Drive. We raised over $2,500 total, plus supplies. This no-kill shelter is desperately needing our help and Unity Temple of Oak Park 6th grade R.E. Class, plus Single Concept Adventure Club and Douglas Street Sports Pub in Elgin jumped to the occasion. Eventivities planned this benefit night and so many philanthropic contributors sat, rolled over and spoke up at the opportunity to help.
What a fun evening! Drink specials, free dinner buffet, silent and raffle auction of generous baskets, gift certificates and all sorts of items where sold in efforts to raise funds for animals needs. With the economy, families have been faced with the difficult decision of potentially giving up a loved pet. Animal House has supplemented families annual costs of food and pet care so the animal may remain with the family until situations improve. What a great program!!
